I encourage you to see how many vehicles, belonging to staff members, are in the parking lots before and after school. Instead, I ask you to look at your local school district and see all that is positive about public education. I encourage you not to believe the negativity that is being spread. It seems that there is a lot of negative rhetoric coming out of Austin about public school this spring. I would also like to say a special thank you to our different presenters: Area Game Wardens, Xcel Energy, Ground Water Conservation, and Jeff Kautz Lawn Care. Thank you to the Stratford Education Foundation for providing the funding for this event. Linda Henderson for doing all of the behind-the-scenes work to get this arranged. We had 32 young men from 6th through 8th grade participate in hands-on STEM activities. Henderson arranged for a Guy's STEM Day at Stratford Junior High this past Saturday.
